Problems with installing librfid & opcd_test

Hi,

we - two students and linux newbies (sorry for any dumb questions!) - are
trying to get the OpenPCD reader running. After finally figuring out how
to fool the local proxy not prevent svn from connecting to the respective
servers we now stumbled into some more serious problems, as we just can't
get the opcd_test program running.

We're already using the "Getting Started" manual from the OpenPCD Wiki, but
obviously we're doing something very obvious wrong :)
Installation / compiling gave no error messages, but when trying to run the
opcd_test program (e.g. opcd_test -1 1 1), it just says "command not found"
and can't find anything called "opcd_test" on the harddisk. We're using a
relatively up-do-date version of Suse-Linux, in case that helps.

I've just found slightly different instructions within an older mail to
this list (see below) - is this the full list of commands I have to enter
to make the program working? Sorry for the very dumb question, normally
we're not the kind of guys giving up at such (probably) very low hurdles,
but it seems we're just too "blockheaded" on this one.
