I think the first step would be to verify the problem can be replicated
on x86 (or x86_64), and then use the valgrind memory debugger to futher
hunt this down.
In parallel, a severe cleanup of all the static memory buffers and
various allocations in librfid has been needed desparately for way too
long time.
I always only hacked on librfid until something was working, spending
way too little time to get from proof-of-concept to something that
actually uses clean programming techniques. Then OpenMoko sucked away
all my time, and things haven't really improved a lot ever since.
If anyone wants to help with this, I'll promise quick patch review and
integration cycles...
