The /dev/ttyUSB0 device only represents the Interface to the 
Serial-Debug-cable..
You have to load a controller specific module, like explained here:
http://wiki.openpcd.org/wiki/Getting_started#USB_Debug_Cable

SO /dev/ttyUSB0 is not necessary for using librfid.


You have to be root and the firmware and librfid version have to be 
correct.( openpcd-firmware=314 and librfid=1999)
The fresh version won't work!
