Compiling firmware on the mac

I can¹t get the firmware to compile on Leopard.

I installed to tool chain suggested on the Wiki.

Using the recently updated wiki instructions I did:
svn co -r1999 https://svn.gnumonks.org/trunk/librfid/ librfid.hw

Then I edited autogen.sh to change libtoolize to glibtoolize
When I run ./autogen.sh I get the following error:

running: autoconf
configure.in:42: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_DEFINE
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.
error: while running 'autoconf'

I tried installing pkgconfig from MacPorts to no effect. Interestingly if I
grab the head of the tree I do not get this problem but others crop up like
runlib doesn¹t make the export table so the firmware link fails.

Any ideas?
